Since 1935, The Community Concert Associationhas brought quality entertainment to the area from the famous Arthur Fiedler'sBoston Pops Orchestra, to the famous Ruth Page Chicago Opera Ballet. Other Cultural amenities include a dance theater and art gallerieswhich provide the area with work produced by local artisans, and the CrabOrchard Museum and Pioneer park in nearby Tazewell, VA.

High on the entertainment list is the highlyacclaimed Science Center of West Virginia. This intriguing facility, locatedin the Bluefield Arts and Science Center, features science exhibits anda permanent exhibit of Bluefield native John F. Nash, Jr., a Nobel Prizewinner in Economics. The Bluefield Arts and Science Center also hosts localholiday musicals, classic works and contemporary dramas and comedies throughthe popular Summit Players Theater.

The Bluefields have long had a love affairwith sports and other outdoor activities. The Bluefield Orioles, a farmclub of the Baltimore Orioles, attract thousands and plans are underwayto construct a modern soccer complex.
