Celebration of Appalchia

Description: April 11: Celebration of Appalachia will be held at Bluefield College in Bluefield, Va., on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This annual event will be a day of music with fiddlers and bluegrass singing, storytelling, artisan exhibits, craft sales, book signings, and other family fun designed to recognize and celebrate the rich history, culture, people, and traditions of Appalachia. Funnel cakes and other baked and deep-fried goods are a few of the traditional favorites that will be available. This event is open to the community at-large and features local talents as well as a wide variety of other vendors. More than 50 vendors traditionally take part in the celebration. Art Exhibit entitled "With Word and Song"

Description: January 23 - April 11: Bluefield College presents an art exhibit titled “With Word and Song” by Sandra Bowden. The art will be displayed on the first floor of Lansdell Hall. Sandra Bowden is considered to be one of the most unique, impressive and inspiring Christian artists in America, Bowden’s work fuses the vivid, yet traditional imagery of the Old Testament with images of Christ’s passion, important music scores, and God’s natural creations. Open and free to the public. Exhibit hours are from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. weekdays.

Description: 2015 Spring Fling - This weekend event is open to all bikers, all cagers, and all those who just like great blues music, food, fun and fellowship. All proceeds raised from Nianne's Ride for the Kids will benefit Foster Care Association. Come hang out with Sam Childers (the real machine gun preacher) Rich Vreeland (member of the 6 second club), and Pastor Z (BFC Founder) April 12-13, 2015.
