2015 Bluefield/Princeton Walk to End Alzheimer’s


The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting residents of Bluefield, Princeton and surrounding areas to unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association 2015 Bluefield/Princeton Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

In addition to the walk, participants also will learn about Alzheimer's disease and how to get involved with this critical cause, from advocacy opportunities and clinical studies enrollment to support programs and services. Walk participants also honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony.

WHERE: Mercer Mall

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 17
Registration begins at 10 a.m.; Walk takes place at 11 a.m.

The Wagon Ride is $2 per person, ages 7 and up. Children under 6 ride free with a paying adult.

The Punkin’ Chunkin’ is $10 for 3 small pumpkins with a chance to hit a target in the pumpkin patch and win a prize.

Artist Jordan Lively Brings ‘Movements of the Body’ to Bluefield College Art Show

Bluefield College is hosting a fall art show, now through November 12, titled “Movements of the Body” and featuring the works of figurative artist Jordan Lively, in BC’s Art Gallery on the first floor of Lansdell Hall from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. The exhibit is open and free to the public. Weekend hours may be obtained by calling the Bluefield College Art Department at 276-326-4558.
