National Wear Red Day
Join Bluefield Regional Medical Center "Up Up & Away" with Heart Disease. Visit the hot air balloon display and have your pic taken, plan on having a Heart Healthy lunch, a Dessert with a Doc, free blood pressure and heart rate screenings, and participate in the Red Balloon Release at 1:30. The event is from 9am - 1pm.

She said many people from the Welch area may know her, as she lived there for 25 years and was involved in various youth programs there.

Proceeds from Kuppusami's book will go toward scholarships for local college students.

“Time 4 influence continued…” Bluefield College will host a Fine Art Series highlighting artist Kevin Bennington’s work at Lansdell Hall, from December 4 to February 18. Kevin Bennington is an Assistant Professor of Art at Concord University and is a native of West Virginia. He is an advocate for promoting clean water practices and trash removal from many of our local streams and rivers. His artwork focuses on informing viewers of how important pollution awareness is to our environment.
